Concerned Scientists @ IU is proud to present Dr. Vaughan Turekian, National Academy of Sciences, Engineering & Medicine, Former Science Advisor to Secretary of State John Kerry. Dr. Turekian served as the Science and Technology Advisor to Secretary of State John Kerry from 2015 - 2017. He currently serves as Senior Director of the Science and Technology for Sustainability (STS) Program at the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine in Washington, DC.
His lunch talk is titled "The State of Science in the Trump Administration."

This symposium aims to bridge the gap between scientists and the public in a clear and interesting way. Ardon Shorr will discuss how presenting facts is not enough to convey scientific data and may harm more than it helps. CSIU will host a forum for candidates for the U. S. House of Representatives, IN Ninth District to share their views on science and science policy. Wednesday, March 28, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Monroe County Public Library Auditorium, Kirkwood and Lincoln Streets, Bloomingotn
